The History

What began as a fundraising idea to help participants train for triathlon races, the Memorial Duathlon & 5K has evolved from a road race into a community event that brings families, friends and businesses together for a challenging and fun athletic event while acknowledging our fallen troops and veteran population.

The Duathlon

Our duathlon is a three-stage race focused on running and biking. The format is a 5K run, followed by a 30K bike, and an additional 5K run. While the race draws top level competitors, the course is designed to allow for many levels of participation. One can compete as an individual or part of a 2- or 3- person team. Teams can be made up of the same sex or mixed teams as top performance awards are given in many categories.

The 5K

A relatively flat course perfect for individuals and families. Come compete for top honors in your age classification or just start your day with casual run or walk for a good cause.
